Who to contact
SuperOver is operated by Ewen Kennedy. For questions about your information or to exercise your privacy rights, email info@superover.io.
Your account and games
We use your email address, name, display name, securely hashed password, team choices and preferences to provide your account. We save gameplay progress, guesses, scores, streaks and achievements so you can return to a game and compare results. We process this information to provide the service you request.
Your display name and scores may appear on leaderboards. Creating a shared result makes that result accessible to people with its link. Feedback you submit is used to investigate problems and improve the games. Reminder emails are optional and can be stopped through your profile or the unsubscribe link in each reminder.
Cookies and browser storage
Essential cookies maintain your session, keep you signed in and protect requests. Browser storage remembers preferences such as your theme. These support the service and are separate from optional analytics and advertising.
Our analytics-choice cookie, superover_analytics, remembers your choice for 180 days. When analytics are allowed, our campaign identifier, superover_visitor, lasts up to 30 days. Campaign records are removed after 90 days.
Optional analytics
With your consent, we measure visits, campaign sources, signups and completed games. Google Analytics receives page views and signup events and uses its own cookies. We do not send your name, email address or guesses to Google Analytics. You can refuse analytics and still play. Use the cookie button to change your analytics preference; withdrawing consent stops future tracking.
Advertising and your choices
We are preparing to use Google AdSense to support SuperOver. Advertising is not enabled by this verification setup. When ads are enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to show personalised ads based on those visits.
Before advertising starts, we will provide Google’s certified consent message with options to consent, decline or manage advertising purposes and partners. Advertising consent will be separate from your analytics choice. You will be able to reopen advertising choices from a Privacy settings link. Refusing personalised advertising will not prevent you from playing.
You can also manage personalised advertising at Google My Ad Center and review how Google uses advertising data. Other advertising partners and their privacy links will be listed in the consent message. Some vendors offer opt-outs through YourAdChoices.
Service providers and security
Hosting, email delivery and security providers process information needed to operate the site. Google reCAPTCHA helps protect account forms against abuse and is subject to Google’s privacy policy. Google may process information outside the UK under the safeguards described in its policies.
We use account and request information to protect the service, prevent abuse and investigate faults, based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website. We keep account and gameplay information while needed to provide your account, and operational records while needed for security, support or legal obligations.
Your rights
You can update your details and delete your account through your profile. You can also contact us to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict its use where applicable. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
You may raise concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office. We will update this page when our use of information changes.
